The ISGE Intensive Training Week took place from November 20th to 25th, 2023, in Avellino, Italy, at the Clinica Malzoni and the Malzoni Diagnostica. The week presented a comprehensive program focusing on Minimal Invasive Gynaecologic Surgical techniques. Key topics like the management of post-endometriosis surgery recurrences, isthmocoele diagnosis and treatment, and hysteroscopic myomectomy techniques were thoroughly explored guided by Professor Stefano Angioni from Cagliari University, Italy .
Mid-week, the focus shifted to more specialized areas such as gynecologic endoscopy for infertility treatment, laparoscopic myomectomy, and pelvic floor surgery, with expert insights from Anneli Linnamägi, Alfonso Rossetti, and Bruno J van Herendael.
The week culminated in a practical exam on Friday, November 24, followed by a theoretical exam on Saturday, November 25. This challenging week and hands-on experience aimed to enhance the participants’ surgical skills and knowledge, concluding with a certification from the ISGE – University of Cagliari – Malzoni Advanced Surgery Center.
The biggest thanks goes to Executive Director Paula Simons and Karl Storz company for their support, without whom this training would not be possible.
